Costa Rica is a small country in territory but big in ideals and dreams
made reality. We share with Canada a very similar outlook on the future
and our present, such as preservation of democracy, human rights protection
and environmental.
Costa Rica abolished the army in 1949; allowing the country to invest
in other social matters, specifically, health care and public education.
It is the goal of the Costa Rican Embassy to Canada, to promote and
facilitate a fluid and efficient approach between our two countries
to improve all bilateral issues, like politics, trade, tourism and investment
and also all those multilateral goals which both Countries often agreed
upon.
