Certification and translation of the Costa Rican Driver’s License
To start with your procedure you should send to the Consulate the following documents:
- Original and color copy of the Driver’s Licence issued by the Ministry of Transportation of Costa Rica.
- Photocopy of the identity card on both sides.
- Receipt of deposit for US$40 (consular fee) at Bank of Montreal, account N°0005-4608-520, “Embassy of Costa Rica, Consular Services”. If you make the deposit by wire transfer, you must add US$14 for banking service charges. Cash payments are not accepted at the Consulate.
- A prepaid envelope, with the receiver’s address. Once your driver’s license is certified and translated, it will be returned by post.
